Boston Chamber Symphony

Avlana Eisenberg, Music Director

Boston Chamber Symphony (BCS) is dedicated to creating a musical culture where professionalism meets a passion for camaraderie, innovation, and diversity through music.

BCS strives to demystify the classical music experience, offering accessible and riveting performances in a variety of venues for audiences of all ages and backgrounds, including seasoned concertgoers and those who have never set foot in a concert hall. Committed to amplifying diverse compositional voices, championing living composers, and celebrating exceptional artists, Boston Chamber Symphony has programmed numerous world premieres and welcomed award-winning guest soloists to perform with the ensemble. The BCS also actively seeks out community partnerships to harness the transformational power of music to bring people together and elevate our collective experiences.

Recent BCS initiatives include: the Healing Arts Initiative (in collaboration with the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center), which capitalizes on synergies between the healing arts of medicine and music through the performance of orchestral works for hospital staff, patients, and their families; the Boston Project, which showcases the Boston origins and connections of featured composers and compositions; the BCS Fellowship Program, which promotes leadership opportunities for emerging artists; and the “Sounds of America” series, which promotes the work of underrepresented American composers and showcases the power of diversity in classical music.

We are so grateful to our partners whose generous support enables us to share our music with the Boston community:
